About The Grove Crete
We are Serhat and Hamza, founders of The Grove Crete – Hospitality Services, a boutique property management company based in the mountain village of Akoumia in South Crete.
Our work focuses on helping villa owners transform their homes into successful hospitality properties while preserving the authentic character of the region.
From marketing and guest relations to property care and operational management, we support owners who want to rent their villas professionally while maintaining the highest standards.
Why South Crete
We moved from Berlin to Crete because we were drawn to the island’s landscape, traditions and way of life.
While many Mediterranean destinations have been shaped by mass tourism, South Crete has preserved a rare authenticity — dramatic coastlines, quiet villages and a slower rhythm of life.
Many travelers are increasingly looking for exactly this type of destination: places that feel genuine, personal and connected to their surroundings.
At the same time, this part of Crete still lacks the professional hospitality structures that exist in more established destinations.
This is where we saw an opportunity.

Co-Owner
Hamza holds a university degree in facility management and speaks several languages fluently. His professional background combines operational management, design awareness and strong problem-solving skills.
Within The Grove Crete he focuses on the operational side of the business, ensuring that properties are maintained to a high standard and that both owners and guests receive reliable support.
Our Vision
Our goal with The Grove Crete is to help shape a form of hospitality that respects the character of the region while raising the standards of guest experience.
We work with villa owners who want their properties to be managed professionally, combining thoughtful hospitality with careful property management.
Rather than focusing on quantity, we prefer a boutique portfolio of carefully selected homes. This allows us to provide each property with the attention it deserves.
Experience in Hospitality and Property Management
Before founding The Grove Crete, we gained experience in hospitality, operations and international client services.
Over the years we have worked closely with property owners, guests and local partners to build a network that allows us to manage villas efficiently while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

Co-Owner
Serhat previously managed a hospitality business in South Crete that achieved consistently excellent guest reviews. Before moving into hospitality he worked as a journalist, project manager and tour guide in Asia.
His experience working with international guests helps ensure that visitors feel welcomed, informed and well cared for during their stay in Crete.
